Year 5  and 6 Girls’ Football Sports Report

On 29th April 2015, girls from year 5 and 6 went to Tattenhoe Pavillion and played 2 matches. Although it was cold we strived to be the best with Lauren’s defending skills, Bethany and Sadie as midfielders Nyasha and Ruth staying on the target and Fezzah and I as strikers. We versed Wavendon Gate and won 2-1 and drew with Olney 1-1 all. We scored a hatrick between both matches. As a team we scored these goals with encouragement from Mr Goodman, Mrs Lazarri and the rest of our families.

Year 5 Tag Rugby Competition Report

On Tuesday 21st April we played tag rugby at St. Pauls against 3 schools. We played 3 games and we came 3rd. Although we didn’t win we had a great time. We had a few bruises but that didn’t stop us from trying. We kept going onto try and win the shield but unfortunately we didn’t win it. We had a great time. Also thank you Mrs. Smith and Mr. Goodman for being good coached.

Year 5 and 6 Boys football  - Shield Cup Competition

ROAD TO VICTORY

On 20th April the Y5/6 boys went to a football tournament to compete against other schools for a shield. We played against five different school teams we managed to win 3/5 games.

First two matches

In our first game we played against Langland school which ended in a boring nil-nil draw. We dominated the game but just could not find the back of the net.

The second game was better because we were able to win 2-0 from Cameron and Lewis’s goals.

3rd and 4th matches

Unfortunately we were not able to win our next game against Wavendon Gate because we were outmatched by their no.9 but played well together as a team. In the end the game finished 2-0 to the opposition.

The group stages had just finished and waited for the results. We were able to come second and go through to the semi-finals with Wavendon Gate finishing top of the table.

We played Brooklands School and managed to beat them 3-1 with a sensational goal from Simon and Lewis scored 2 more goals to secure our place in the final.

The finals

When we went to the pitch we were going to play the final on we realised that we were going to play Wavendon the team we lost to earlier in the tournament. It took some real advice from Mr. Goodman and Miss Bond to help us hold onto a 0 - 0 draw. It went to penalties. Luckily we had some help from our heroic keeper Edem who saved 2 penalties to help us win the game and the shield at the same time. Well done team!

Year 5 and 6 Girls Football Sports Report

On Wednesday 25th February years 5 and 6 girls attended a football match at Tattenhoe Pavilion. We played against 2 different schools and worked extremely hard. In all our matches, all the girls were playing and trying their hardest at all times. We showed great sportsmanship towards everyone and all the girls we versed. In fact we played against 2 girls that play for MK Dons. Even though we lost both matches, we had fun.

Year 5 and 6 Boys’ Football Sports Report

On the 11 of February our boy’s school football team took part in a competition on Wednesday. We went to Tattenhoe pavilion, where we played two matches.

We successfully won both, 4-1 and 1-0. In the first match we played well as a team, because of this we managed to score four goals. In the second match we only won 1-0. It was a tougher match therefore we didn’t score as many goals. Their defence was good, but not better than ours, especially their goalkeeper who could kick the ball very far.

At the end of the match we sat down in victory and shook the other team’s hands in good sportsmanship.

On the 14th January 2015, we had a badminton festival. There were 4 boys and 2girls. There were lots of activities we needed to do. The three teachers there to support us were, Mrs Lazzari, Miss Bond and Mr Goodman.

We all had to work hard, play hard and mostly have fun. It was really tiring work.

The 2 schools that went through were Summerfield and St. Thomas. We came 3rd or 4th.

We had a fun time!

On Wednesday 19th November, years 3 and 4 went to St Pauls to use our knowledge of basketball. The activities were fun and tiring but worth it. The teachers who came with us really supported us and at the end of the day all our hard work showed and we came third with loads of points and all the people that went should be really proud of themselves.

Year 5 and 6 Basketball Tournament Sports Report

The Basketball Tournament was on Tuesday 11th November. In the tournament we played against 6 different schools. We won against 5 of the schools and got a draw with 1. Halfway through the match we had to swap with the other boys, but Fezzah and Bethany had to stay on the whole time because they were the only 2 girls. Altogether our school scored a lot of baskets and we came 2nd place, which got us into the finals. We deserved it with all that hard work.
